Privacy
policy
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. This is exactly what happens to data when you visit.
Summary
This website has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no social plug-ins, no embedded third-party content and no contact form. It does not build a profile of you. The only personal data involved is what your browser necessarily sends to the server to load a page, and anything you choose to write to us by email.
The sections below set out the detail required by the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”).
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of any personal data processed through this website is:
- Controller
- [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME]
- Address
- [REGISTERED ADDRESS]
- VAT / tax ID
- [VAT / TAX ID]
- Privacy contact
- business@ussetech.com
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as the scale and nature of our processing do not require one under Article 37 GDPR.
What we process
There are exactly two situations in which this site involves personal data.
Technical connection data
When you open a page, your browser sends the information any web server needs in order to reply: your IP address, the requested URL, the date and time, the HTTP status, the referrer if your browser sends one, and your user agent string. Our hosting provider records this in server logs to deliver the site and to detect abuse, faults and attacks.
Email you send us
If you write to the address published on the contact page, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message, for as long as it takes to handle your enquiry and to keep a record of the exchange.
We do not ask for special categories of data under Article 9 GDPR, and we ask that you do not send them to us by email.
Legal basis and purpose
- Serving the website — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning site. Server logs are necessary for that purpose and we consider the impact on you minimal, since the data is not used to identify or profile visitors.
- Answering your email — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns steps prior to a contract, otherwise Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us.
- Browser storage — the single entry described in the cookie policy is strictly necessary for a function you requested, so it is exempt from the consent requirement of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: retained by the hosting provider for a short, security-appropriate period, then deleted or aggregated.
- Email correspondence: for as long as the relationship is live, and afterwards only where a legal retention duty applies.
- Browser storage: until you clear your browser data, as described in the cookie policy.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Data is disclosed only to:
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, acting as a processor under Article 28 GDPR to run the servers that deliver this site.
- Our email provider, acting as a processor, if you write to us.
- Public authorities, where we are legally obliged to disclose.
Where a processor operates outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission under Article 46 GDPR.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Article 15).
- Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete (Article 16).
- Erase your data where the conditions are met (Article 17).
- Restrict processing while a dispute is resolved (Article 18).
- Receive your data in a portable format (Article 20).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21).
Write to business@ussetech.com to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free, and we will only ask for identification where it is genuinely necessary to confirm who you are.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully you may complain to a supervisory authority, in particular [COMPETENT DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITY] or the authority where you live or work.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We apply access controls, keep dependencies current and send security headers that restrict how the page may be framed, what it may load and what browser features it may use. No system is perfectly secure, but we take measures appropriate to the risk under Article 32 GDPR.
Children
This is a business website and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process the personal data of anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, forms, accounts or any other data-processing feature to USSE Tech, this policy will be updated to describe the actual processing before that feature goes live. The date below records the current version.
